JoAnn German Wahle, D.D.S.

Dr. JoAnn German Wahle was born and raised on a farm near Humphrey Nebraska. She recieved her undergraduate degree in Psychology from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska. She graduated, summa cum laude, from Creighton University School of Dentistry in 1984. In 1985, she completed a hospital General Practice Residency at Indiana University in Indianapolis, Indiana. Soon after she and her husband moved to Iowa where Dr. German opened a dental practice in North Liberty. After nearly 14 years, Dr. German made the decision to set aside her private dental practice work to focus on raising her three children. During that time, she co-founded the dental clinic at the Community Health Free Clinic in Cedar Rapids where she volunteered weekly, for ten years, providing dental care to patients without dental insurance. She also worked on a temporary basis to fill in for dentists in the area who needed time away from their work for various reasons. In 2013 Dr. German founded Midtown Dental Boutique in Cedar Rapids. Dr. German has been married to Steven Wahle for 33 years. She enjoys walking, hiking, cooking, and reading. More than anything, she loves to spend time with her husband, children and their spouses and her four grandchildren.
